Cardinal Memorial basket
This basket was started on a 1 3/4” round piece of hand made and painted pottery center, and features a cardinal. These baskets are approximately 1 1/4 x 4 1/4”. Green long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed darker green needles for contrast. A wrap and spiral stitch was used. I made these baskets as memorials to lost loved ones who connect to the cardinal.
