Large with handles Chickadee
This basket is approximately 8 1/2 x 10 ” handle to handle and 2 ” tall. It was started on a handmade painted pottery center featuring a chickadee. Green long leaf pine needles were used as well as some dyed raffia and darker needles for contrast. The stitches are wheat and wrap, fern, and a decorative stitch was used on the handles. There is a hanger on the back.
