Oval Cardinal
This basket was started on a 5” piece of hand made and painted pottery center, and features a cardinal. This basket is approximately 8 1/4” x 6 3/4 x 1 1/2” in diameter. Both brown and green long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed raffia on the start, and darker needles for contrast. The stitches are wheat and wrap, and there is a hanger on the back.
